Duration:60 minutes

Topic:

Building Capacity for Child and Adolescent Mental Health in Africa

Africa has a substantial need for child and adolescent mental health (CAMH) services, while specialist human resources and service capacity remain limited in many settings. Building sustainable CAMH capacity requires more than increasing the number of specialists; it also involves strengthening training, multidisciplinary teams, task-sharing, service delivery models, community-based care and systems of support.

This webinar will bring together two experienced African practitioners from different regional contexts to share practical approaches and lessons from their work in Nigeria and South Africa. The discussion will explore how African countries can strengthen the CAMH workforce and develop sustainable, accessible and contextually appropriate services.

The webinar will particularly highlight African experience and solutions, while identifying opportunities for regional and international collaboration in CAMH capacity building.
