Hyunchan Hwang is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Chung-Ang University Hospital in Seoul, Korea. He completed his medical and doctoral training at Chung-Ang University and subsequently specialized in child and adolescent psychiatry, with additional training in schizophrenia.

His research focuses on improving the mental health and well-being of children and adolescents, with particular interests in ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, self-harm, digital media use, and digital mental health interventions. He aims to bridge clinical psychiatry, neuroscience, and emerging digital technologies to better understand the factors that shape young people’s well-being and to develop practical, accessible, and evidence-based approaches to assessment, prevention, and treatment.
