Suravi Patra

I am a Professor of Psychiatry and work in a General Psychiatry setting in an Institute of National Importance. I have been providing clinical services to children and adolescents with psychiatric disorders for more than a decade. My research interests include neurodevelopmental disorders, autism, and ADHD. I also have an interest in teaching and learning.
I teach and train medical and nursing students in clinical psychiatry. I also train postgraduate psychiatry residents as a teaching consultant.
I am currently completing my two-year fellowship with the Foundation for Enhancement of International Medical Education and Research at Christian Medical College, Ludhiana, India, which is a FAIMER Regional Institute.
I have received grants to conduct research in child and adolescent psychiatry, and my work has been published in high-impact international journals. I also have some publications in medical education.
I strive to create interventions that are feasible and deliverable in real-world, resource-limited settings, with an impetus to enhance service providers' capacity building.
Currently, I am conducting a funded trial on a nurse-led intervention for parents of children with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
