Adjunct Associate Professor Dr Christopher Cheok is a Senior Consultant and Assistant Chairman Medical Board, Digital Health at the Institute of Mental Health (IMH). He also serves as Chief of the National Addictions Management Service (NAMS) and Director of the national mindline 1771. Previously, he was Chief of the Department of Forensic Psychiatry at IMH, where he also led the Singapore Prison Psychiatric Service. He advises the Singapore Armed Forces on psychiatric policy and he is a medical assessor for the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore. During his career with the Singapore Armed Forces, Dr Christopher Cheok has been the Commanding Officer of Medical Classification Centre, the Deputy Commander of the Military Medicine Institute and the Head of the Psychological Care Centre. He has served in peacekeeping missions in East Timor and in humanitarian relief missions during the Asian Tsunami. He has published 3 books on mental health and over 20 research papers in peer-reviewed journals.
