Hee Jeong Yoo is a board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrist and Professor at Seoul National University College of Medicine and Seoul National University Bundang Hospital, Korea. She has devoted her career to the study of neurodevelopmental disorders, with a particular focus on evidence-based practice, the development and validation of diagnostic instruments, and the biological mechanisms underlying autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Drawing on extensive experience and expertise, Dr. Yoo has led numerous projects on the translation, development, and validation of diagnostic and screening instruments. As Principal Investigator, she continues to direct research on the genetic and neurodevelopmental mechanisms of ASD, work that has helped establish one of Asia's largest ASD genomic and clinical family cohorts meeting international data standards. She has published more than 150 articles in international peer-reviewed journals in the field of child and adolescent psychiatry, and has adapted and authored numerous treatment manuals for individuals with ASD. Dr. Yoo previously served as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of the Korean Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (KACAP), and currently serves as President of KACAP, Global Senior Leader National Representative for the International Society for Autism Research (INSAR), and a member of the Review Board of the National Research Foundation of Korea.
